Since 1991, Mendota Homes has created homes and communities in highly-desirable urban and first-ring suburban Twin Cities locations. With a career in real estate and development spanning over thirty years, and experience in commercial and residential development including construction finance, John Mathern founded Mendota Homes as a custom construction company, focused on single family homes and townhomes. In 1997, before the Twin Cities’ condominium boom, Mendota Homes began construction on its first residential condominium building with the goal of creating a low maintenance, high quality, affordable housing option. Since 1997, the company has continued to create condominium and townhome communities catering to a variety of lifestyles including urban living, luxury, and senior.
