Mendota Homes is a full-service development and construction firm. Along with industry partners, Mendota Homes develops, builds, designs, and sells each project to ensure the highest standards at every stage of the process.

Development Team

Each Mendota Homes’ project begins with the development team, led by John Mathern, Company Founder and President. After a development location is established, Erin Mathern, Director of Development, works with engineering and architectural partners and Mendota Homes’ in-house design team to create the project vision – the look, feel, and personality of the new development. The development process involves input from key players including municipalities, neighbors, and community organizations to ensure creation of new buildings that complement and enhance their surroundings. The development team secures required approvals and financing for each project and works with the construction team to transition from drawings, renderings, and plans to physical building construction.

Construction Team

The Mendota Homes’ construction team, led by Mershawn Pikus, a veteran of the construction business and original Mendota Homes team member, includes project managers, site superintendents, and skilled carpenters. The construction team oversees the daily, physical construction of each building or development and brings years of experience to every project. Through its in-house construction team, Mendota Homes controls the timing, staging, and quality of every project, preventing unnecessary delays, allowing flexibility in responding to client needs, reducing costs, and ensuring an overall high standard of quality.

Design Team

The Mendota Homes’ design team, led by Allison Mathern, creates the look and style for every development. From selection of exterior colors and materials and interior products and features, the design team works closely with the construction team to facilitate the innovative finishes and distinctive model homes Mendota Homes is known for. Most importantly, the design team guides each client through the process of creating the client’s individual space. Design team members meet with each client at Mendota Homes’ Design Center and assist in the selection of all interior materials and finishes for each condominium or townhome. The design team is also each client’s liason with the construction team, ensuring each condominium or townhome is built to the exact specifications of each client.

Sales and Marketing Team

Mendota Homes sales and marketing team, led by Jason Sellars, brings the vision of the company to the public. From research and development to advertising and sales, the marketing team works closely with the design and development teams to implement a philosophy and unique style for each Mendota Homes development. MHI Realty, Mendota Homes’ real estate brokerage, represents Mendota Homes in all new construction sales. MHI Realty sales agents are seller’s representatives and company employees, not commissioned sales agents. This non-commissioned company structure allows sales agents to address each individual client’s questions and concerns in a low pressure and comfortable sales environment. At Mendota Homes, each sales agent is knowledgeable about the construction processes, materials, and design experience.
