The Riverfront Name Game

May 28th, 2005

NORTHFIELD — Although Mendota Homes is the name most frequently mentioned when the Riverfront Redevelopment project comes up, the Little Canada-based development company utilizes the talents of other companies to bring their vision to life.

* Lee Seppings is working as principal architect on the project. Seppings is with Collaborative DesignGroup, Inc.

CDG has been involved in a number of historic and adaptive reuse projects, including the Midtown Exchange in Minneapolis, Nicholson Hall at the University of Minnesota and the Como Park Conservatory.

* Mendota Homes is also working with Richard Faricy, a St. Paul architect who also sits on that city’s Heritage Preservation Commission.

* And Mendota Homes is working with Sanders, Wacker and Bergly Inc., of St. Paul for landscaping architecture and design. This is the third collaboration between Mendota Homes and Sanders, Wacker and Bergly, said John Mathern, owner of Mendota Homes.
